Thomas (he/him/his) has over 15 years of experience as a higher education professional. Having served as a leader of diversity and inclusion at several selective institutions, Thomas prides himself on being a first-generation college graduate. At Whitman Thomas responsibilities include providing leadership in advancing and ensuring an inclusive learning community, serving as a member of the president's cabinet and advising and counseling students, faculty, and staff to facilitate a positive experience for every member of the Whitman community. Thomas holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Denison University, a Masters of Art in Education from Northeastern Illinois University and a Doctorate of Education from New England College.

Sonja (she/her/hers) provides administrative support to the Intercultural Center and coordinates the WISE (Whitman Institute for Scholastic Enrichment) program. WISE has the goal of bringing local middle school students to campus to introduce them to college life and to encourage them to make plans to attend college in the future. Sonja is also the staff adviser for Namasté, a student club for those interested in meditation, and is active in the Whitman College Prison Research Group.

Monica (She/her/hers) is the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion and is the Testing Center Coordinator. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Montana State University in Animal Science. Following her college graduation Monica took a year to travel abroad with the International 4-H Youth Exchange (IFYE) Program, visiting New Zealand, United Kingdom, Greece, Thailand and Laos. She moved to Walla Walla in the summer of 2019 and is enjoying getting to know everything the Walla Walla Valley has to offer. Away from the office Monica enjoys, camping, snow sports, knitting, spending time on the farm and playing fetch with her dogs.

Adam (he/him/his) joined the student affairs staff in September 2006. He received his BA in religion from Wabash College, and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University. In addition to addressing the spiritual needs of students, Adam works to facilitate religious life and promote religious diversity on campus. Adam is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) tradition.

Grzegorz or Greg, (he/him/his) received his MSC in Poland majoring in horticulture, as the first in his family to receive a college degree. He started his international career at The Ohio State University in 2003 within the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He was heavily involved in international student exchanges, agricultural internships, visas, recruitment, domestic and international programming. He established exchange programs and visited colleges in dozens of countries all over the world.
Greg joined Whitman College in December 2019 because of Whitman’s academic reputation, attractive location and growing international student population.
Greg loves being outside, whether it is gardening, camping or kayaking. He also enjoys cooking, especially baking various types of breads.

Dorothy (she/her/hers) works as the Program Adviser for the Intercultural Center. As a recent 2019 graduate from Whitman, Dorothy has worked closely with several student-life offices to foster a welcoming community for incoming and current students on campus. Dorothy currently manages the Glover Alston Center, supports IC programs and events, provides club advising, and acts as a support for students.
